Announcement on Armenian Genocide Monument in Vancouver

Vancouver, BC  - The Armenian National Committee of Canada Western Region is proud to announce that it has formally agreed with the City of Vancouver on a location for the Armenian Genocide Monument. After working closely with the Parks Board since 2007 it has secured a site for the monument in the center of the city.   The ANCC-WR would like to thank the city’s officials for their ongoing guidance on this project.  It would also like to extend its gratitude to City Councillor Suzanne Anton for all her support in ensuring that such a monument is erected in Vancouver.  The Armenian National Committee of Canada Western Region looks forward to working with all community members on this project.  The Armenian Genocide Monument will symbolize the Armenian community’s stance against injustice.

Further details will follow.
