Statement on Recent Anti-Armenian Provocations

PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(OTTAWA – October 13, 2020) – Since the onset of the joint Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression against Armenia and Artsakh, we have witnessed several incidents of provocative actions in Canada, attempting to instigate hatred and violence against the Armenian-Canadian community.
We urge each and every one of you to not be drawn into provocation nor pay attention to such attempts. The Armenian National Committee of Canada condemns all forms of violence and hate speech.
As members of the diaspora, we have the privilege of living in a peaceful country like Canada. Let us focus on our collective work and not allow our quest for peace in Artsakh be disrupted.
